Abstract
This article outlines the editorial workflow of the Philippine Journal of Internal Medicine (PJIM) to guide prospective authors in navigating the publication process. It describes the sequential steps from manuscript submission, initial screening, and editorial board evaluation to peer review, revision, layout, copyediting, and final approval. The roles of authors, editors, and reviewers are highlighted, as well as common challenges—particularly delays in peer review. By understanding these processes and adhering to author guidelines, contributors may expedite manuscript handling and improve their chances of successful publication.
