Abstract
Clinical practice guidelines are essential tools for helping clinicians navigate uncertainty by integrating evidence, expertise, and patient values. This editorial discusses the importance of trustworthy guideline development, emphasizing transparent external review, conflict-of-interest disclosure, and culturally relevant evidence appraisal. Highlighting the newly released national guidelines on Chronic Hepatitis B and C—major health burdens in the Philippines—it underscores how rigorous review processes strengthen credibility and support better clinical decision-making. Ensuring guideline trustworthiness ultimately enhances healthcare quality and improves patient outcomes.
